Privacy Policy

Resumazing is a job-search app with a helper called Paige. It finds jobs that fit you, tailors your resume to each one with you, and keeps track of your applications. This policy explains what we collect to do that, why, who helps us process it, and how you can delete it. Resumazing is run by 8x Social, Inc. (“we”).
1. What we collect
- Account. Your email address, and your name if you give it or sign in with Apple or Google. We never see your Apple or Google password.
- Your resume. The file you upload (PDF or Word) and its contents: your work history, education, skills and contact details. Also anything you add by typing or speaking to Paige. If you upload a Word file, we keep the file so your edits keep its exact format; it is deleted with your account.
- Photos of your resume. Only when you take or choose one (a Pro feature), or upload a scanned PDF. The photo or scan is sent to OpenAI to read your resume from it, and then deleted. We keep only the resume read from it, not the photo.
- What you are looking for. The roles, cities, countries, remote preference and years of experience you choose.
- Your job activity. The jobs you see, save, tailor and apply to, the changes you keep or skip, your cover letters, and your board.
- Voice. Only when you tap the microphone. The recording is sent to our server, turned into text, and then deleted. We keep only the text you choose to send.
- Application answers. The answers you save for application forms stay on your phone. They are not sent to us.
- Purchases. Whether you have Pro, and when it renews or ends. Apple or Google takes your payment; we never see your card.
- Usage and diagnostics. Which screens and buttons you use, crash reports, and your device type, app version and approximate country. We use this to fix problems and improve the app.
2. Why we use it
- To find and rank jobs for you, and to show you why each one fits.
- To tailor your resume, write cover letters and fill in application forms when you ask.
- To give you Pro when you pay for it, and to restore it.
- To send you emails about your account and your search. You can unsubscribe.
- To keep the app working, safe and free of abuse.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
3. Who processes it for us
These companies process data on our behalf, only to run Resumazing:
- Supabase: sign-in and our database.
- Vercel: hosting for our website and server.
- OpenAI: reads your resume and job descriptions to tailor your resume and write cover letters, reads photos and scans of your resume, and turns your voice recordings into text. OpenAI does not use this data to train its models. We do not store the photos.
- JSearch (RapidAPI): job listings. We send search terms like a role and a city, never your name or resume.
- RevenueCat, Apple and Google: subscriptions.
- PostHog and Google Analytics (website only): how the app and site are used.
- Sentry: crash reports.
- Expo: delivers app updates.
- 8xSend: our account and reminder emails.
4. What the app asks your phone for
- Microphone, only when you tap it, to tell Paige what to change.
- Photos, only when you choose a photo of your resume, through your phone’s own picker.
- Camera, only when you tap “Take a photo” to photograph your resume.
5. How long we keep it, and how to delete it
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on our account deletion page. That deletes your account, resume, preferences, jobs, tailored resumes, cover letters and board. Crash reports and usage data that no longer identify you may be kept for up to 12 months. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and you can object to how we use it. Ask us through the support page and we will answer within 30 days. Resumazing is not for children under 16.
7. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the last change.
8. Contact
